You can launch it and then click on Align button, but before this  You must   have to add the control points so that will knows what the common parts of the 2 photos are. it does not need too many, we managed to do it with only 2 control points and the result was very Good.
If you just need to stitch photos that were taken from the different angles, probably this wd be the perfect match  for you coz it has a lots of options to regarding projection and field of view.

No-3:Autopano Pro ( Windows & Mac, free trial version, $130 to buy)

This App is like a combo between Image Composite Editor and Hugin. You just launch it, choose the photos  & click on "detect button" and you will get what you were looking for,  two photos will be stitched into one photo, & then you just have to save  it & that’s all. There's a funny part it is that if you delete  final version & then you just click on detect again [two photos will be stitches together again] you will never get the same thing
Unfortunately  if you export all the pictures from free version you will get  a watermark on them. In order to export watermark free photos you need to upgrade to the paid version, Autopano Giga, which is $130.
